There has always been that interesting difference between the conception of the two companies, Microsoft and Apple.
Apple have worked very hard to promote the idea that they are trendy, innovative and different to the staid, dependable and ‘boring’ Microsoft.
Apple have run well known adverts showing how Apple users are cool and young ( and slim) whereas your typical Windows user is older, fatter, has less hair and is generally a geek.
In an interesting and very informative response from Microsoft we see Lauren. On a strict $1000 budget, she is sent out to find the perfect laptop – she looks at Apple models and discovers that they are all priced way above their Windows equivalents – not suprisingly she opts for a Windows laptop.
